This is Bryan Leitch's 1995 Nissan 240SX SE S14. The car still has the Nissan Champagne Gold color, but it was repainted in
2003 to refresh the paint. He bought the car used in March of 1999, with only 40,000 miles in the first 4.5 years. No modifications
had taken place at that time, and a link for the OEM pictures can be seen at the very bottom of the page.
Bryan began upgrading the car at the end of 1999 starting with a set of BBS RK Wheels and Eibach Pro-Kit Lowering Springs, and completed an upgrade
a month for the next couple of years. After getting the basics down (air intake, shocks & struts, exhaust and header), Bryan decided to open the engine
and finally work on the outside of the car as well to make it look like a car that a Japanese enthusiast would be proud to drive. Although
the car doesn't have the Silvia SR20DET, or the right-hand drive setting, the KA24DE has been maxed out with aftermarket options (except
turbo, which will be at some point in the future). The car was run on a dyno in November of 2004, and posted a top Horsepower mark of
179HP at the wheels.
After completing many upgrades on this car, the best quality part to purchase is a NISMO part. Though NISMO parts are usually more
expensive, the quality is outstanding and worth the extra expenditure. However, the best way to upgrade your ECU and camshafts is
with Jim Wolf Technology. They specialize in Nissan and Infinity upgrades, and go one more step than NISMO. Although some may say
it doesn't help, the A'PEXi SAFCII controller is must, because as any Nissan enthusiast knows, once the Check Engine light comes on,
the fuel intake is limited, and the SAFC controller bypasses this process. The exterior is almost completed, still lacking a set of
Do-Luck Ladder Bars, and a NISMO Limited Slip Differential. Check out more pictures of the 240SX by clicking on the picture above.
A set of 18" VOLK Racing LE28N Wheels with NITTO NT555 Extreme Performance Tires, a MKS HID Conversion Kit, and TAKATA Racing Harnesses are
the latest major upgrades. The wheel upgrade included the removal of the H&R Spacers and 60mm NISMO wheel studs. A NISMO LSD, JDM folding mirrors and finally a turbo conversion for the KA24DE are next!
